COCHIN – MUNNAR – ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM – MADURAI – RAMESHWARAM - CHENNAI
DAY 1: ARRIVAL COCHIN
Garlanding on arrival. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the airport, our representative will meet to welcome and escort you by a private chauffeur driven car and transfer to Hotel , whilst the room keys and check-in is organized, our representative would hand over the Welcome Folder documents and brief you the tour programmed.
In the afternoon, we take you on a guided tour around Cochin. Cochin is popularly known as the “Queen on the Arabian Sea” and is the oldest European settlement in India. Surrounded by backwaters, this city has always managed to attract voyagers to travel to Kerala, India. During this tour, you get to visit the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, the Church of St. Francis, the Bolghatty Palace and the famous Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening, you can enjoy a boat cruise, where you get to see the seven Islands of Cochin. You can also see the beautiful sunset with the last rays of the sun filtering through the Chinese Fishing Nets in the harbor. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 2 : COCHIN - MUNNAR ( 143 KM )
After breakfast drive to Munnar, the famous hill station of Kerala, India, where you will be welcomed by breathtaking views. The evening is at your disposal, wherein you can simply relax or indulge in anything that your heart desires.
DAY 3 : IN MUNNAR
Munnar - It is famous for its lush green surroundings, lakes, reservoirs, forests, and tea estates. Munnar has also becomes a favourite spot for adventure-seeking tourists, who are interested in paragliding and who travel to Kerala, India to indulge their passion. It has some of the highest tea estates in the world. Munnar is also home to Anamudi, the highest peak in South India, which towers over 2695 m in Munnar. In the vicinity is the Eravikulam National Park, the home of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr that roams on a stretch of grassland or is seen climbing the pinnacles of the undulating hills. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 4 : MUNNAR – ALLEPEY ( 180 KM )
Morning drive to Allepey. Allepey (Alappuzha) is situated on the banks of Vembanad Lake, where the town's commercial centre is situated in a maze of canals. Set in the labyrinth of backwater channels, the town is one of the best places, from which to explore the unspoilt countryside. Alleppey is not only famous for natural beauty but also for its locally made coir products that are of a very superior quality and the Nehru Trophy boat race held every year. On arrival check in at the hotel. The backwaters of Alleppey can be best experienced while relaxing in a country boat. Also enjoy the Ayurveda Rejuvenation massage of one hour with our compliments. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 5 : ALLEPPEY – KOVALAM ( 158 KM )
Morning free to enjoy the resort. Afternoon depart for Kovalam by surface. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
DAY 6 : IN KOVALAM
Full day at leisure to enjoy the beach and also you may like to indulge yourself in some Ayurveda massage and therapies.
DAY 7 : KOVALAM – MADURAI ( 329 KM )
Morning depart for Madurai by surface and on arrival check in at the hotel. Madurai, situated in southern Tamil Nadu is the second largest city here lying on the banks of Vaigai river. Afternoon half day city tour. The main city area revolves around Meenakshi Temple, with its baroque example of Dravidian architecture and the four tall gopurams (pillars) with multi colored gods, goddesses, demons and deities.
DAY 8 : MADURAI – RAMESHWARAM – MADURI ( 172 KM )
Full day excursion to visit Rameshwaram.
DAY 9 : MADURAI – CHENNAI
In time transfer to the airport to board flight for Chennai. On arrival transfer to the hotel. Afternoon city tour visiting the National Art Gallery and Government Museum, which are over 100 years old. Proceed to Fort St. George built by the British and now housing the Secretariat. Drive along the Marina Beach, the second longest in the world driving past Chennai University, the Senate House and the Palace of the Nawabs of the Carnatic, to the San Thome Cathedral where the apostle is buried. Visit the ancient Kapaleeshwar Temple dedicated to Shiva, having a beautifully sculptured “Gopuram” (temple-tower) typical of South Indian temple architecture. Also to be visited are Little Mount Shrine considered to be the place where St Thomas lived and preached. St Thomas Mount is where St Thomas, it is said, was assassinated.
DAY 10 : DEPART CHENNAI
In time transfer to the airport to board flight for onward destination.
End of the Tour Programme. Check-in/out time at all the hotels is 12Noon.
